The Office of the Member of Parliament for Mayaro would like to bring awareness to the importance of protecting your mental health as we participate in the World Health Organization’s World Mental Health Day 2020.

2020 has been an extremely difficult year as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Preserving our state of mind during this trialling period may have been grueling for many of you.

Here are some tips to assist in boosting your mental health during quarantine:

  1. Get sufficient hours of sleep and rest
  2. Eat well
  3. Avoid alcohol & drugs
  4. Get plenty of sunlight
  5. Manage stress: try meditation
  6. Exercise
  7. Do things you enjoy
  8. Connect with others
  9. Seek help
