The Office of the Member of Parliament Mayaro participated in a beach cleanup exercise at Point Radix, Ortiore Village, Mayaro. The beach cleanup was a collaboration between The Ambiance Project and the Haji Ruknuddeen Institute of Islamic Studies of Charlieville.
It was supported by MP, Rushton Paray and his team, the Rio Claro Mayaro Regional Corporation under the patronage of Chairman Raymond Cozier , iCare, Adopt a River, Reo Pure, Delight Foods, Vemco Ltd, and Sana Mere.A total of 58 volunteers collected 73 bags of garbage, 2 freezers, a mound of rope and string.
The total weight was approximately 2200 lbs. There was 53 bags of plastic and 20 bags of miscellaneous items (glass, tins, etc.)MP MAYARO COMMUNICATIONS UNIT.
